there was some card making one for the boys and one for a princess loving girl.
homemade apple crumble and ice cream for dessert made by the big girl.
some movie watching on the laptop, Footloose. I love the original version much more.
and a bit of sewing for me which I will share with you later in the week.
I just wanted to let you know that my Dad is ok and so am I. This weekend I've been tired and a bit snappy which isn't nice but it seems to be how I have been feeling and I am trying hard to stop that negative behaviour. Today is a new day and I'm feeling more refreshed and ready for the week ahead. My Dad is at home and slowly recovering. I am looking at the positive that he is here with us; he is feeling better, better than he has in a long time and he is strong. Thank you again for your wise and kind words they have helped me greatly get through this past week and I am forever grateful for them.

Hi Catherine. I've just read your last few posts. I'm so sorry to hear this about your dad. It is so hard to stay strong in times like these. Sending you warm thoughts and hugs xxx
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely pouch, thank you for the pattern.
ReplyDeleteAnd the cards, my dear Catherine, always leave me wondering about your imagination and creativity.
Great photos from your weekend, the pencil case and cards are lovely. I'm so glad your Dad is doing well.
ReplyDeleteReally glad your dad is home safe. Don't beat yourself up about being grouchy - I'm like that on a normal day ;) Love the pencil case - they always make me think of new starts, new school term, new pencil case, new pens. Keep smiling x
ReplyDeleteI haven't visited in a while and just read about your dad. Wow, that's huge. Sending all my best wishes and positive thoughts your way xxx PS your handmade stuff is so lovely x
ReplyDeleteGlad you and your Father are doing better. I love your pencil case and cards. Beautiful as always. And, like Louba says - everyone has grouchy days. At least you have a reason - some mornings I just wake up plain grumpy and can't even pinpoint why I feel that way:)
ReplyDeleteOh Sweetheart. I am so pleased to hear your Dad is feeling better and hope things stay positive for him. Snappiness is only normal when you're under such immense stress. I *get* where you're at. Sending you a huge Hobart ♥ tonight. J x
ReplyDeleteBe kind to yourself, you are allowed a few cranky moments.Glad to hear your dad is home again. The pencil case is so lovely, gorgeous colours in that floral fabric.melx
ReplyDeleteOh that is great news Catherine, take good care and sometimes it is ok to be a little snappy :) xx
ReplyDeleteSuch great news to hear your Dad is home and doing a little better....i can certainly understand the snappiness, it's just an outlet for your emotions and stress...am sure your loved ones understand xxxx
ReplyDeleteReally love the fabric in your pencil case and Footloose is one of my all time fav's...haven't wanted to see the new one as yet!!!
Nice pictures, and I'm glad to know that your Dad is doing well.
ReplyDeleteI love your masculine cards. They are the ones that always stump me. You make them so simple and not over the top at all.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad your Dad is home. It is such a hard time for you all. It is ok to snap. I snapped this weekend and then cried and felt guilty explaining to the kids that I was just worried. They ran around for the next hour tidying and helping so earnestly that it doubled the guilt.
One day at a time,
Thinking of you,
Gina
Glad to hear that your Dad is going well.
ReplyDeleteLove the masculine card - I always find them so difficult. We had apple crumble recently too, yum!
Don't feel bad about being snappy, I'm sure those around you understand and it is only normal considering what you've been going through. I'm so glad your Dad is home and doing okay. Staying positive is so very important now xx
ReplyDeleteTo this day I have never seen Footloose! Considering I am a bit of an 80s fan and husband was a fairly significant DJ in Sydney in the 80s I probably should rent it out or download it or something! Good news about your Dad! Thinking of you! xx
