The other day I got a text from a good friend wondering if I wanted to catch up for a chat, yes please, I didn't have to think twice. So we worked out a date and we chatted and chatted, I felt great afterwards. While I was in her area I popped in to my favourite gift shop to pick up a couple of things for some special ladies and brought my camera along. I was a little nervous asking to take photos but I figure I should try and get past this if I want to take my photography further. The lady was more than happy which meant I was too and the nerves disappeared.
Do you struggle to push past fears? Do you have techniques you use to help you overcome them?
I have that same problem with my camera...I am quite shy when it comes to taking pics like yours above.....glad you overcame your fear so we could share in that gorgeous eye candy. xxxx
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pics Catherine, this is one of my favourite shops too. Mel x
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet looking shop... lots of goodies in there I bet :)
ReplyDeleteOh no, I was there yesterday. It would have been great to run into you.
ReplyDeleteI find I pull my camera out less because of that fear/shyness. I'm doing Ali Edwards One Little Word and the process of growth and understanding is awesome.
Such a beautiful shop!! Great that you pushed past your fears. Some shopkeepers can be a bit mean when you ask to take a photo. You did a great job, well done! xoxox
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a lovely little shop. Love the photos. And always nice to get together with a friend. I keep telling myself, I am nearly 50 years old, I shouldn't be afraid of a thing. Just do it, own it! That's my motto. :) Best wishes, Tammy
ReplyDeleteGorgeous shop. I have been too shy to take photos in shops even though I'd love to some times. Thank you for being brave and sharing. xxoo
