It was such a dark, cold, rainy Saturday just the perfect weather to have something warm for breakfast and lunch. For breakfast homemade porridge and feta and spinach triangles for lunch, spinach picked fresh from the garden.
There was some reading and some sewing done, yes I have procrastinated and sewed these pj's for my nephew on Saturday for Sunday, tut tut.
Sunday was still overcast but not the same rainy weather as yesterday. It was a day to celebrate a special little boy's 2nd birthday and for seeing family. I adore getting that time to be around them and watch their delight in simple pleasures and I get to be around the little ones, I miss my two being little sometimes I do love seeing them grow into the two gorgeous girls they are.
Did you have a good weekend?
♥

ReplyDeletecute cake, love warm lunches on cold days!
ReplyDeletewe battled the weather, rugged up and did the 3 1/2 hour walk around manly dam. Was great and the kids enjoyed the excitement of a little rain!! (could have done with some of those triangles after though, yum!)
ReplyDeleteLove that lunch came from your garden. And love those little pig tales - I finally understand how people end up with 4+ kids.
ReplyDeleteHow did you fix the train to the pocket of the pj top?

ReplyDeleteA Little of everything makes for a lovely weekend....love the look of that yummy food. x
ReplyDeleteOH! It all looks so good! Our weekend was busy... as always!
ReplyDeleteSounds and looks like a perfect weekend! :)
ReplyDeleteYour savoury triangles sound yummy - it's turning into 'soup weather' here and something like that would be perfect to go with a big bowl of soup. I must try and find a copy of Mollie Makes - it looks like it would be a good magazine to flick through. Our weekend was a lovely one - mostly spent in the garden now that it's cooled down x
