Yesterday

A break in the week,  a chance to be together
Perfect weather to take a drive to the beach
Breathing in the fresh salty air
Walking along the waters edge with cold sand under my feet
Looking out over the bright blue water as far as the eye can see
Listening to the waves crashing,  allowing thoughts to be carried away by the sea
Picking up smooth rocks of colours grey and black, adding them to my collection
Eating egg and lettuce sandwiches, homemade treats and chocolate
Watching quiet play between sisters, gathering, building, talking
Grateful to be surrounded by nature

    That is the perfect day! I can't wait for the days where we can spend more time at the shore.
    Lettuce and egg sandwiches are often on our picnic menu too :)

    I long for the beach, winter has been just too cold and too long. your day looks just perfect, i think packing your own sandwiches and treats is just the best, you enjoy them so much more than you would have at home.
