203-209/365 Just like that another week

has flown by and my hopes for blogging everyday have gone by the wayside.  I really did want to pop in here each day but the photo taking and the uploading and the writing and the can't be bothered when the time rolls around each evening got the better of me.  A new routine for blog writing really needs to be set I think, change it up and blog in the morning rather than the evening when I don't feel it might help this lack of daily posts.  This past week has been a little busy with my birthday and another family member celebrating their birthday, as well as a friend meant for lots of card making and birthday present buying.  Next month is a quiet month for birthdays which will be nice.  I did do the usual baking; we have had a little visitor belonging to our neighbours roaming our backyard which has escaped and is proving difficult to catch; pretty flowers; my little visitor painting and a lovely time spent with my friend.

What I was thinking of was maybe doing a series of posts that relate to some topics that I am passionate about like maybe cooking, organics, health, making, organisation etc.  What do you think? Is there anything that you would like to ask me or curious to know about any of those topics?

Thanks so much for popping in to visit.

119/365 Tomatoes

My hubby planted these tomatoes around the end Summer and they are still producing some beautiful fruit.  This week I won't be buying any organic tomatoes, we have some delicious homegrown ones to enjoy which feels great.

278-292/365 'Lately'

Hello.  I am so sorry for my absence I'm hoping you are still all here....
How have you all been? I'm pretty good, my girls have settled back into the school year and there is lots going on.  I've been crocheting gifts, making cards, baking new things, helping and visiting my Mum, gardening, thinking about Christmas and just life. So here's a little catch up in photos of life right now.
 A pretty sunset.
 A homegrown capsicum.
I love love this raw chocolate.
Face painting, I love how she still enjoys getting it done.
A card for my mother in law.
A succulent all wrapped to give as a gift.
 Lots and lots of threads.
Lunch, organic bread, fried in coconut oil an egg, spinach and cherry tomatoes all home grown (except the bread).
 Another crochet bag.
A gift card to go with the crochet bag.
 My Mum's new puppy, Zorro.

Flowers, flowers and more flowers.
Mulberries.
 My Nan's dog Wally.

Stills

1. One very muddy dog digging for her ball.
2. Lots of fresh basil made into this pesto.  A great one for those with nut allergies.
3. Baking weekly lunch box treats.  This week I made honey biscuits and oat, date and honey muffins.
4. Yummy yarn I bought here just waiting for me to make into this for a wedding we'll be going to later in the year. Better start soon so it will be ready in time.
5. There has finally been some vegetable planting.  The weather has been much kinder lately, although still a bit rainy, good for the new seedlings.
6&7. Growth in the garden after all the rain.
8. A cake baked and ready for a belated birthday morning tea with family for Miss 9.

I'm joining in with Em again this week. Have you had a good week?♥

Monday, July 2

This weekend we welcomed in July (can you believe it, already!) in a quiet way before the busy ness of our birthday month
We spent time down by the bay with family
Enjoying the little things, even pretty little weeds
Going through the big girl's clothes she has grown a lot lately, it won't be long before she is as tall as me
Making purple milkshakes using blueberries, my favourite kind of milkshake
Having a delicious afternoon tea at table number 18, of chopped banana and water especially made for me
Grateful that nature was kind and gave us a beautiful weather this weekend
How was your weekend?
Linking with lovely Lou.♥

Lately

my mind has been busy with end of school goings on; organising interviews for my youngest to change schools, books and uniforms for next year before school finishes and thinking of Christmas.  I have been remembering to try and breathe and enjoy the little things too, not to forget to enjoy the process along the way.
On Sunday when the sun went down and the weather was cooler I went outside and dug up my crop of potatoes and pulled the last of the carrots.  We'll be enjoying potatoes and carrots this week for dinner.
The house is glowing like a Christmas tree and the girls just love going out after dinner to see the house alight.  I got my hubby to try and buy a few more solar lights this year but since we've got solar power on the house a few electric lights isn't going to hurt.
And tonight I sat and finished the other mug cosie, so the teacher gifts just need to be wrapped up and that's a couple of gifts finished.

How are your Christmas preparations going?
