This week and a winner

Hello, how has your week been? Mine has been pretty good, it was the last week of term this week so we are all in holiday mode here now which is a nice feeling. I have been trying to pick up the camera everyday so I thought taking up a photography challenge would encourage me a little more.  I came across Beth's blog via Click it up a Notch and really like her enthusiasm for photography and I also liked her monthly photography prompts which is just what I need to get back into blogging more regularly.  So yesterday I took myself out before the school pick up and did a little photography walk,  I was so glad I did.

And I am so sorry it has taken me till today to announce the blog giveaway winner.  Thank you to all you, the lovely ladies who took the time to comment and enter.  The winner of the giveaway was Bron!! Congratulations Bron.

Enjoy your long weekend.  Have a wonderful Easter everyone.

Everyday

I can't quite believe it has been so long since I've posted once again. Life is not particularly busy or exciting I've just lost my groove to take photos but that's going to change.  I sat down and wrote myself a schedule and each day photo taking as well as photography education is on the list. I'm going to make this photography business happen this year....So that's a little peek into my last couple of days, random things that captured my attention.

And since it's been a while I thought it would be nice to have a little giveaway.
So the giveaway is open to my lovely blog followers only and for Australian followers only.
I will keep the giveaway open till Monday the 30th of March.
Good luck lovely people.

A winner and a quote for you

I'm sorry my giveaway winner is a little late in being drawn.  I punched out some circles, wrote some numbers and got my sweet little miss to draw the winner and she picked out number 13 who is......
Gina!!!
If you could send me an email with your address I'll pop that little pressie in the mail for you.  Thank you to all of you again for your kind words, they are really appreciated each and every one.

The sunset was so beautiful today I just had to share it with you as well as this thought.
Believe in yourself and all that you are
Know that there is something inside of you that is greater than any obstacle.

A Giveaway for YOU

I started this little blog now 4 years ago and over 700 posts later and I'm still enjoying my blogging journey.  I would never had believed when I started that I would still be writing after all this time and have made so many wonderful friendships along the way.  So as a way of saying thank you to those lovely people who have kept me company in this space with their words of support and kindness I wanted to have a giveaway to celebrate. Just the other day while I was out with my girls I stopped into one of my favourite shops and picked up a few goodies I thought you might like.  I picked up a journal, a little book about positivity, some spotty washi tape and I also made a necklace.  The only rule that I ask is that you are a follower of my blog, that's it.  I will only be able to include followers in the giveaway, I feel it's a nice way to thank those of you who are joining me on my journey of blogging.

I will be drawing the winner on Friday the 1st of February. Good luck everyone!

P.S. I hope all is well with everyone and this horribly scary weather we've been having, take care and stay safe. xx

A Thank you

How was your Wednesday today? Today was my birthday, I'm another year older, another year wiser;)  My hubby took the day off today which made my birthday even more special.  Usually we wouldn't but he thought it would be nice to spend it together, much nicer than being at work.  We've had a quiet day at  home making bread, doing craft, sitting chatting and eating pizza, simple just the way I like it.  Tonight on the menu was Creamy Corny Chowder with no knead bread and Apple Berry Crumble with ice cream cooked by my family.

To celebrate my birthday today I wanted to have a little giveaway to thank you, my wonderful friends for stopping by and for always giving me lots to smile about with your kind words. Included in my giveaway is:
♥ A Japanese craft book called Hello Sandwich which has lots of great gift wrapping ideas which I bought on Saturday in Nook.
♥ Three handmade red crochet flowers
♥ Some twine
♥ A vintage cotton spool
♥ A cute little handmade owl softie
♥ Some fabric tape
♥ Some handmade doily gift tags
♥ Six handmade kraft gift bags
♥ Two handmade washi tape pegs
♥ Some handmade stickers
To keep it fair I'm making the giveaway open to followers of my blog only and one entry per person.  New followers are always welcome to join, I always enjoy meeting new people.  I'll keep the giveaway open till next Wednesday the 27th of July.  Good luck everyone!

Fabric Bookmark

July is a busy month for birthdays and after celebrating my hubby's birthday on Thursday, my good friend is having her birthday on Sunday. I wanted to make something that would post easily with her card, just a little something to wish her a happy birthday. I thought a fabric bookmark would be a good idea so I did a bit of computer surfing and found these beautiful bookmarks and thought I would give them a go. Do you find that it isn't until you come to make something that you find you could have done things differently but it's too late to change what you've already done? I should have probably joined the two pieces of fabric together with a blanket stitch so the back wasn't untidy but I hid it with a felt flower and a button, problem solved.

So have you got any plans for your weekend? Tomorrow I'm going to a beginners crochet class at this place. I thought it might be a bit of fun and who knows what I might learn! Have a great weekend.

P.S. Don't forget to enter in my giveaway!
