not of the jumper kind but of the drink kind. Last night lying in bed I was flicking through cookbooks figuring out what to cook for the girls lunch box treats, when I came across this recipe perfect to give you a boost during the cold and flu season. The temperature has dropped dramatically and I thought it wouldn't hurt to give it a try and the bonus was that it didn't use lots of expensive fruit. Miss 7 enjoyed her juice as well as happily drinking Miss 11's and my hubby, well he drank it but felt it tasted more like carrots than anything else so maybe you could add another orange so the carrot flavour isn't so overpowering.
1 apple, peeled and cored
1 orange, peeled
2 carrots, peeled
¼ cup pumpkin, peeled
Put all the ingredients through a juicer. Serve immediately. (Makes 2 cups)
Enjoy your Monday, I hope all of you had a beautiful Sunday.♥
That's interesting! Juicing the fruits with pumpkin!
ReplyDeleteHmm will have to give this one a try have never put pumpkin into a juice before.
ReplyDeleteYou can have raw pumpkin? Wow. I need to do this for my little guy. He developed a cold this morning and before he went down for his nap asked me if I would make him some pumpkin soup!
ReplyDeletePumpkin in a juice - very interesting. I threw out my juicer years ago but I've been toying with the idea of buying a new one.
ReplyDeleteBTW, I made your coconut balls again but this time I replaced the dried peaches with dried cranberries. My son loved them!
I have never juiced pumpkin? I think I will give it a go. We made our second batch of your Apple Muffins last night. Yes, they still made double and yes, they are almost all gone!
ReplyDeleteOh yum, i just suggested to my husband to put carrots into our orange juice, with lemon, yummo!! Love Posie
ReplyDeleteYou know what..... I think I'll leave that one to you!! ;) My Mum on the other hand would love it! She drank so much carrot juice a few years ago that she actually started turning orange... seriously!
ReplyDeleteI am a big fan of mixed fruit juices, and the best part is, they're healthy!:) Love anything with carrots and orange, these two do well on their own too!:D
