103/365 Hello There

This little creature was as curious about me as I was about it.  It's wonderful what you can see when you use a macro lens, nature is just amazing.

93/365 Leaf

It was the first official day of school holidays today.  Today we decided to stay home and take the day slowly.  My youngest had a friend come and visit for the day which was lovely.  Later in afternoon I went outside and did a little bit more gardening/weeding.  The garden is looking lovely now and is ready for me to plant some seedlings which I am looking forward to.  It's such a nice feeling having a garden weed free and looking it's best.  While outside weeding I came across this unusual leaf and thought it would be fun to photograph for this weeks 'My Week of Close Up'.  I hope you enjoyed your Tuesday.

92/365 Close Up

Today I thought I would participate in a little meme about 'My Week of Close Up'. Being out in the garden I was inspired and took these couple of photos to participate.  I decided to keep them both because I just couldn't decide which I liked best.  I love the sweet seaside daisy but love the unusual spring formation of the vine also.

58/365 Mushrooms on trees

We have been having a decent amount of rain which has been a blessing towards the end of a a very hot summer. Whilst hanging the washing on the line the tree next door caught my attention.  So this afternoon in the moody light, I got my macro lens on and captured them.

31/365 Birthday Roses

My hubby bought a gorgeous bunch of white roses for my daughter's birthday.  So today I thought I would get out my trusty macro lens and take of photo of their beauty.

5/365 Pikelet

The cupboards were looking a bit bare for afternoon treats today.  So I made some simple pikelets to feed my hungry family.

Hello how has your week been? We've had a pretty quiet week really one day we didn't even leave the house, gee I love those days I probably could use a few more but not sure my two would agree. There has been a bit of baking done, a tiny bit of craft I really need to do more, a trip to the city and a day at the shops for my teen to have lunch with her friend. I have been good and still following the prompts from The Bethadilly Challenge - April Prompts.  Some days are a little trickier than others but I'm loving the challenge and the fact I am picking up my camera each day.  There hasn't really been much else happening here, just life and the usual family things some fun and some not as fun ahh the joys of family..... Tomorrow though hubby, the girls and I are going to have a family photo shoot which should be fun.  I have to say I am super nervous it has been years since we've had a family photo done of just the four of us but it really is important to me to have these memories, before I know it Miss 15 will be finished school and have her own life.... Anyway I hope all is going well in your world, that you have had an enjoyable Saturday and that Sunday is sensational too.
