I'm sorry I disappeared this week. This week has been busy, a little too busy, with book week celebrations, sustainable house presentations, after school practice, trying to get my head around a birthday and father's day next week and a very busy husband gave me a feeling of blah all week. I've tried not to wallow but it just didn't work. I know if I get some craft done sometime this weekend I'm sure I can turn the blah feeling around. How do you get over that feeling? I would love to hear any suggestions you might have.
Earlier in the week I got some happy mail from Veronica at Mama Jots, a Donna Hay Magazine and a cupcake mix, which I know the girls will enjoy making, thank you.
Have a happy weekend my friends. I hope to stop by and say hi soon♥
To get rid of the feeling of Blah I get lost in a good book with a cup of tea to hand and some yummy chocolates. x
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend.

Blah feeling solutions - chocolate, coffee, a shopping trip (without kids), a chat with friends. With work and uni my hubby is really busy too - my solution to dealing with that is expect to deal with everything on my own, that way if he is here to help it's a bonus. It's amazing how much further my energy stretches when I know I've got no help arriving through the door at 6pm. Hope next week is brighter for you.
ReplyDeleteHi Catherine I hope you can get some creating in and shake your blah!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you've had a 'blah' week, mine's been a bit that way too - I've had so much to do around the house but been so unmotivated and therefore feel as though I've achieved nothing this week. Hope your weekend is a good one x
ReplyDeleteYour version of the shortbread look amazing!!!!
ReplyDeleteHugs - Jodie :)
I had the same feeling this week. I caught a yukky cold but had to keep going. I'm sure you know that feeling. I managed to make a Cat In The Hat costume for my son for Book Week and I was pretty proud of it. He was really happy with it too!
ReplyDeleteHope you pick up soon.
I know how you feel, I was feeling very blah mid week as well! A big 9+ hour sleep is the best cure for me but if there's no time for that then an hour or two with my head in a book escaping my own life also helps. Hope you got the time to do some crafting!
ReplyDeleteThe Donna Hay cupcakes are delish and guarenteed to cure the midweek blahs! I won a pack too & it brightened my whole week!
ReplyDeletePs that shortbread looks divine! :)
A cure for blah requires a shot of fresh air, a splash of self indulgence and just enough chocolate.
ReplyDelete(chocolate is a bit like morphine - the right dose is the one that does the job! - medically speaking)
Yes I know what you mean between illness and everyday task the blah creeps in very easily here too! I am temped to say chocolate too but I think it is probably making it worse :)I think the more sugar we consume the more unwell we get...but it seems to be what we crave do we! :)lol
ReplyDeleteI see you got over your blah after all good job! xx
