My girls are growing, almost taller than me, and the values that we have taught them are shining through more as they get older. It is still a struggle but I have learned to let go a little but I'm sure as the teenage year approaches I will need to do more.
I have loved cooking more vegetarian meals each week, we've been eating at least two. This goal has now become part of our routine and I will continue this again next year.
I have read only just one book this year which is not very good at all and started another. Along the way I've read lots of craft books and magazines but not much of substance so I will need to keep trying with this next year for sure.
And when it comes to being in the moment and loving life, well I think I did well. When we go out I always try and observe and take in as much as I can and share that with my family, kind of smelling the roses.
So over all I'm pretty happy with how I achieved my resolutions, keeping them here to look upon all year helps me to stay focused and accountable to myself. I'm not harsh on myself if I don't achieve things but I do know I need to be strict, it's too easy as an adult to be a bit more relaxed with ourselves I find.
On to next year, I thought that I wouldn't call them my resolutions but my goals, areas in my life that I want change in. I like how people have a word that is their word for the year so I decided to combine my goals starting with my word, strive.
My goals for 2012
I will:
♥ strive to care and do more things for myself. I will continue to go to yoga each week, have time to myself to do things just for me and have a massage occasionally too.
♥ strive be more sociable and involved with others, like join a craft group, volunteer at school and have friends over more often.
♥ strive to focus on making our house a home. Creating things to make our house feel comfy and cosy.
♥ strive for our garden to be more productive.
♥ strive to sell some of my craft in a shop or online.
I'm really looking forward to the year ahead with a clean cupboard and a feeling of renewal I believe there are good things to come. Thank you for sharing your time and thoughts with me throughout the year. May the New Year bring lots of happiness, fun, laughter and good things and I can't wait to share with you our life adventures again next year.
Happy New Year
