Off to Camp!

Today my Miss 9 went to camp. Because it is her birthday tomorrow we thought a little present before she went would be nice so we gave that to her this morning, some earrings and a book to take on camp. She was so excited, found her friend and before I knew it she was on the bus and off she went, no tears just very happy. Her little sister was a bit sad but said her friends cheered her up. So my little Miss 9 is growing up, I am so proud of her!

I hope you all had a good day and I'll t
alk to you again soon. Bye!

A Happy Birthday Weekend!

My Miss 9 got to celebrate with friends and family this weekend her birthday which is on Tuesday. Saturday was a fun day in the sun with family in the park and Sunday was all about friends and laughing at the bowling alley. But there will be no celebrations on Tuesday at home :( because my Miss 9 soon to be 10, is off on camp for two nights, very scary for Mum and daughter but such an adventure needs to be had. So our little family celebration will be saved for when she returns but I'm sure she will have the best day with her friends on camp, it will certainly be a day to remember. So I thought I would share some photos from the weekend with you and hope you enjoy them. Take care and I'll talk to you soon. Bye!

P.S My neighbour celebrated her 16th birthday on Saturday and so I made this button frame for her as a gift with a pair of homemade earrings and some soap.

I went on a Safari Today!

My little ones celebrated book week today with a celebration and the theme was a Book Safari. Miss 9 chose to be an elephant and Miss 5 wanted to be a lion so off I went to Spotlight and came home with some felt, elastic, cardboard and crepe paper and away I went. So these are the creations I came up with and they worked well for the parade, I was so happy to see them both enjoy dressing up and celebrating such a fun event at school. So after my morning it was back home to get started on some more cards to be taught at the scrapbooking store. I still used the Making Memories paper Noteworthy for these cards to show how the paper can be used in a variety of layouts. I think I'll try and make one more and get them to the shop asap so they're all ready for the start of the card classes in September. I hope that you had a good day today, talk to you soon!

What Have I Been Up To?

Hi there everyone it seems like ages since I have been to visit but don't worry I haven't forgotten you I just haven't had much to share and I've just been busy doing everyday things. As I have mentioned before my little girl is turning the big 10 and so I have been getting things made for the party bags. Don't you just love the cute little strawberry party bags? I bought them for just $2 at Kmart and knew they would come in handy someday, I think they are really sweet. And I also have a card to share with you too. I made this card for my local scrapbooking shop who asked me recently to help design cards for them to teach in card making classes at the shop. I was really so excited to be asked and I am looking forward to doing something that I love which is cardmaking. Thanks for stopping by to visit and I look forward to seeing you again soon. Bye!

Butterflies and Gardens

Hi there everyone, I hope you had a good weekend. Mine was pretty good, getting a chance to spend some quality time with my girls and taking one of them with me to the Handmade Expo. Since I didn't get a post in at all this weekend I thought I would share a photo of what we got up to on Saturday. With the lovely weather we are having it was perfect to get in the garden and give it a good water so my Miss 5 was happy to help. Miss 9 was content to ponder through magazines to find recipes to put into her cookbook, so a relaxing Saturday and Sunday was more about catching up with family and friends. My Miss 9 will be celebrating her birthday soon so my goal is to try and make the party treats to go into her bag. Today I made these butterfly bookmarks, pretty simple and will come in handy I'm sure. Thanks for stopping by, until next time bye!

A Few Presents to Show You.

In my creative space yesterday I mentioned I was making a crayon roll so I thought I would show you the finished product. It worked well and I managed to put it all together but when I put the crayons in they ended up being a bit taller than I expected but I thought I would use it just the same. A week ago I won some blog candy over at Mel's blog and decided I would pretty the crayon roll up with one of the cute little buttons.Thank you Mel for all the little gifts inside my package. Sorry no pictures of the before package, I was too excited at receiving my mail that I opened it right away.So the little gifts from Mel have already gone to good use with the crayon roll and also some hair ties that I made also. To pretty up how I gave them to the birthday girl I just cut out some DP and some cardstock, stuck them together with sticky strip, used the corner punch to round the edges and my crop-a-dile to put some hole in the cardstock to display the hair ties. I also covered a little notebook and decorated this plain gift bag as well. I hope you have a great weekend and talk to you soon. Bye!

In my creative space today I have a couple of things I made this morning in my weekly stamping class. The orange you can see is a notebook and we also made a flap card. The rest of my creative space is all about making a crayon roll for a party my Miss 5 has on the weekend. I found a great tutorial at Skip to my Lou and some crayons I found that can be sharpened and erased. Thank you for stopping by it's great to hear from all of you and I hope that you are all having a great day. Don't forget to go and check out the rest of these wonderful creative spaces over at Kirsty's blog.

Butterfly Bling

Over at Splitcoast Stampers their clean and simple challenge was to use some bling. I find this really easy and lots of fun using anything that is sparkly and glittery. The card I made was done with my eldest daughter in mind, she is celebrating her big double figured birthday soon (she'll be 10) and loves purple and aqua hence my colour choice. I was inspired by a little girls shirt I saw recently so that was the reason for my layout. Have a lovely day and thanks for stopping by.

Friendship Bracelets

Do you remember when you were in school and you made friendship bracelets? It was a craze for a while for me and I had heaps of fun making them. The version that I have made is quite basic but I found this pack of fluro embroidery floss and thought that the girls would love these in their party bags. Believe it or not after all this time I still remember how to make the bracelets but you can find a tutorial here that will be helpful if you want to give them a try. I made bracelets of four strands of floss at about 60cm, put a knot at the top, stuck it down with sticky tape on my coffee table and away I go. I have seven to make, but they really don't take long to make and then onto some other gifts for the party girls. See you again tomorrow. There is still some time to enter in the blog candy giveaway!

Some cards to share with you!

Hi there everyone! Today I have some cards to share with you which means I have motivated myself to get back into my paper crafting. The first card I made was to participate in Dawn's colour challenge but I was a bit late getting my entry in, next time I will be motivated a bit earlier, I hope. And the second card I made for a good friend who has just finished uni and so I wanted to give this to her to congratulate her on such a great achievement. Tomorrow I hope to share with you a couple of little projects that I am making for my Miss 9's birthday which is coming up very soon. My goal is to make most of the things to put into the party bags so I have to get a wriggle on since it will be here before I know it. I hope that you have had a good day. Bye for now. Don't forget to comment on my previous post to be in the draw for the blog candy!

Some Blog Candy!

I have been very lucky lately and been the winner of blog candy over at Bianca's funny blog and Melissa's creative blog and so I wanted to share some blog candy with all of you today. So what I have to give away is some Martha Stewart ribbon, some polka dot fabric quarters in brown and orange spots and a Nicole Mallalieu Purse Kit. All you need to do is post me a comment to let me know what you like most about my little blog and if you would like to have two comments put in the draw then post a link from your blog to mine. I will leave the comp open till Friday this week and draw the winner on the weekend. I will look forward to hearing from all of you. Bye

A Sunny Sunday

Have you all had a good weekend? It was beautiful weather in my part of the world today and so what better way then to enjoy it then spending time outside. We decided to go for a drive about an hour from where we live and with picnic essentials with us, we set about having a fun day. Visited some botanical gardens and spotted a native, I was able to get this nice close up shot.
Then it was time to have some lunch so there was lots of fun collecting sticks and cooking sausages, everyone did something to help.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon.
