Cheese Ball

Today it was my sister-in-laws baby shower. We played games, drank tea, ate lots and talked. It's always nice to get together to celebrate before a baby is born and talk about pregnancy stories and share in the excitement of her first baby's arrival. With most of the preparations already taken care of by her cousin, I offered to bring something along and the Cheese Ball was requested so I was happy to oblige. I have been making this recipe for the past 13 years or more now and it's always enjoyed. I've altered the recipe a bit because I don't like raw onion much so I omit it and it still tastes nice but if you like onion then you could add it back into the recipe.

Ingredients

2 tblsp finely chopped capsicum
2 tblsp finely chopped onion

2 tblsp shallots

2 tblsp grated carrot

3/4 cup herbs chopped

3-4 cloves of garlic crushed

200g processed cheese grated

200g mature cheese grated

200g cream cheese softened
curry powder

Put all of the ingredients into a large mixing bowl and combine and form into a ball. You can divide the mixture into two cheese balls or one large ball. Roll the cheese ball into curry powder. Place cheese ball onto plate and serve with crackers.

It was a beautiful spring day today I hope that it's the start of more lovely days. I hope you enjoyed your Sunday too, did you get up to much?

Take care my lovely friends.
