Sunday Sewing

Today I got some sewing time in and managed to sew Molly her new blanket. It was an easy blanket to make after getting the fabric cut square and the stitching on the top of the blanket gives it that quilted look.

The bonus to having striped fabric was that it was perfect for helping me keep straight lines when stitching. Now I can start a new sewing project, some hot pads out of Handmade Home.

I hope that you enjoyed your Sunday.

Hi Catherine, that's a very lucky puppy, looking very happy to have a cozy new blanket! Got to love sewing along stripes... it has helped me countless times, as I am not the most patient sewer!

  2. I needed some striped fabric today- I was sewing some wonky lines for a little table runner. I like to think it looks handmade/quilty/patchwork... but in reality... it's a bit of a mess! Oh well! xo m.

  7. Now I'm feeling guilty that I've never made anything like that for my cat! But she's quite happy to sleep on anything ... especially if it's something I don't want fur on! So I suppose I can use my time to make stuff for myself instead!
