The Finished Bucket Hat

How has your Saturday been? It's been a busy one here with a first birthday party to go to and a family bbq, so dinner was pretty simple after all the food that was consumed today! We all had lots of fun catching up with old friends and making new ones too so now everyone is tucked up in bed getting some needed sleep and the little one snoring because she has a cold:(

Last week in my creative space I gave you a peek at some cute fabric and a bucket hat pattern I was going to make for a birthday present, well I finally finished the hat last night. I was waiting on some fabric I ordered online so when it arrived yesterday I got straight into the sewing. The Betz White pattern I used was really easy to follow and with some words of encouragement from my friend Tina I took my time, finishing it with no real problems. I used a plain and patterned fabric for the hat so if they wanted a more neutral look then they could just reverse the hat but the cute little car fabric is my favourite!

To go with the hat I made a very simple card using a sketch from the Clean and Simple blog and a little gift tag to go with the gift bag that I recycled.

I hope that you all enjoyed your Saturday! Do you have any plans for your Sunday? Tomorrow we are off to the park with friends but the weather isn't looking promising, hopefully the rain stays away for a little while. Take care and have a lovely day:)
