Poppy Doll Finished!!

She is no longer headless.  With a deadline looming I sat down and persisted with finishing the Poppy doll today.  There were some not so happy unpicking moments with the head and the embroidery of the face but she's all done and ready to go to her new owner tomorrow.  I tried to use natural fibres when making the doll because my little niece has some allergies.  So to fill the doll I used wool fleece (I had already purchase for this project), hand dyed pure new wool felt from Winterwood  Toys, bamboo flannel for the dolls body and some leftover organic fabric for the dress. The outlay I thought was worth it for a special gift and I still have plenty leftover if I want to make another, maybe but not just yet.......
And a special card to go with her gift in pink, of course;)

Enjoy the rest of your Saturday my friends
