This weekend

we went into the city to give hubby some time to study while the girls and I had lunch at the park, snapping a few photos along the way. I've been having a bit of fun with the editing tools I've only just discovered, loving the antique effect. There was an unexpected happening when I saw my Grandfather.  It's been quite sometime, he met the girls and we chatted for a short time before he hopped onto his bus for home, he is so much older now.

A trip to my favourite yarn shop to buy some wool for those slippers.  The aqua is for Miss 12, the purple, which looks pink here, for Miss 8 and the brown for me.

Pikelets for morning tea with peppermint tea and raw honey. A chat with my Dad about a new business venture and a discovery that my Grandfather used to be a professional photographer with the Air force many years ago.  I now know that photography is passion that has been passed along through the generations, I was bound to inherit it. And there was also a bit of vegetable gardening done too.

How was your weekend?

Linking here today.

  2. MMMMmmm, pikelets and peppermint tea! Two of my favourites! We picked up furniture for R's office, attended birthday parties, had drinks with neighbours and my big boy lost his first tooth! xx

  3. I am in Los Angeles visiting my son, so the weekend was about being together: lunches, dinners ( that I either cooked or paid for) and visits to some places of interest. But the joy of being with him is better than anything else!

  11. I think I might whip up a batch of pikelets now that I've seen your pic - there's nothing sweet here at the moment and I'm in the middle of making baby purees at the moment and desperate for something to go with my cuppa. Your weekend sounded lovely - how nice to unexpectedly run into your grandfather. Love those cherry shoes!! x

  20. I'm loving your photos of your weekend. Funny how hidden talents come out later in life and then we realize who they were inherited from. My late grandfather was an avid photo taker too. Cherish the unexpected time with your grandfather. I'm afraid time just passes all to quickly, as I've learnt lately.
