A Saturday walk in the bush.  There was the smell of sweet wattle, the chirping of lorikeets and sweet little yellow birds, the rustling of trees in the breeze and water trickling over rocks, picking wildflowers along the way and making wishes on them. There was also a lot of puffing, those hills a lot higher to climb than we thought but exercise is good for the body, and it felt good to be outdoors together doing it.  Along the way we discovered flowers and hearts, reptiles and insects, beauty in nature and the character of old.

Did you make any new discoveries this weekend?

  2. I always think that walking outdoors is the best form of exercise. The beautiful scenery helps keep your mind off of the physical exercise part of it.

  5. We went to the Mount Gravatt show, which had such a country feel, though I would hardly call Mt. Gravatt the country! It's so lovely to explore as a family though, isn't it? And I love that feeling when you get home, tired but happy and ready for a cup of tea! :)

  11. I so enjoy a walk in the great outdoors. But our temperatures are not agreeable to that right now -- 50 C the past couple of days. I do miss hiking! Yours look like it was a lovely one. Best wishes for a great new week. Tammy
