Weekly Stills

1. A bit of baking not quite a favourite.  The chocolate chip biscuits I made as well were eagerly eaten though.
2 & 3. All about love.  A handmade card made by me to give to my hubby and a delicious creation made by Miss 9 especially for her Dad.  She spend quite a bit of time carving this master piece.
4, 5 & 6. A visit to a favourite vintage shop. Did you have a Sindy doll growing up?  I did and I only ever had one Barbie doll, I do wish I kept them.
7. I love old brick buildings full of character.
8. Standing on the front porch watching the rain fall and one of my favourite succulent plants.
9. A couple of treasures I bought on my little wander.
10. The progress on my shawl.

I hope your week was a wonderful one.  I joining in with the lovely Em today.

  1. Hi Catherine..I never had a Sindy..only her little sister. I desperately wanted one though and all my friends had them. I also wanted a toy washing machine..why?..though I never got one of those either. I have been playing with the real thing though for years now and the desire has well and truly worn off!

  2. I had two Barbies. One with the long hair and one that I chopped the hair off to make a "Ken"! Think we sold them along with oodles of clothes at the flea market when I was a teen. Wish I'd kept them too :( Your shawl looks will be so beautiful! ANd what a gorgeous space to visit...all those suitcases had me gasping. Hope your week is beautiful :) x

  9. Beautiful pictures Catherine! That slice/cookies looks divine :) I remember Barbie's being ridiculously over priced when I was little and yes I had many Sindy dolls! Now my daughter has at least 9 Barbies including 2 Ken dolls... I remember always wanting a Cabbage Patch doll.

  12. So much loveliness here Catherine! I would have taken that vintage apricot frock AND 3 or 4 of those vintage suitcases home with me. And your shawl is looking gorgeous. That stitch is lovely whatever it is. I noticed how Alicia blocked hers to make the stars open up really big but it look fab as a tighter knit like this as well. Mel x

I had a Sindy doll, my Mum considered Barbie too buxom and American!!!!! I wasn't much interested in them though, my sister played with them more than me.
