50/365 Beeswax Candles

Today whilst I was doing my Monday baking I decided to put on one of the podcasts that I subscribe to. I looked in my feed for the latest updated podcasts and noticed a new podcast for The Low Tox Life.  The show for today was an interview with the founder of Queen Bee candles Cate Burton talking about wax and candles. I have for many years bought beeswax candles even though they come at a might higher monetary cost and today after listening to her speak passionately about beeswax candles I am so glad I have.  Did you know that beeswax is a natural ioniser that emits negative ions when burned.  Anything floating in the air such as dust, germs, bacteria, viruses, toxic residues from household furnishing are positively charged.  When a beeswax candle is burned and emits the negative ions it binds to the positive ions forming a complete molecule.  That molecule is heavier than air so it falls to the ground, leaving the air naturally purified. And another fun fact is that the light they emit has the same light spectrum as the sun, isn't nature amazing.  Do you like to burn candles?
