163,164/365 Sunset and cloudy days

I have been treating myself a little the last couple of days.  I have been using essential oils for diffusing, in body products I make and in my cleaning products also.  I have done this for a little while now and had wanted to have Vetiver in my collection.  When I saw that Perfect Potion had a limited addition Vetiver I decided to buy it and a bonus was that I got a discount with the points I collected.

And today's lunch time smoothie.  The last couple of days I have felt like having something fresh and decided to go with a smoothie. It's a bit of a concoction which includes banana, pitaya, a date, some spinach, hemp seeds, coconut, ABC nut butter and maca powder.  Do you like to have smoothies for lunch?

120/365 Monday Making

I have to say that I have been lost for ideas as to what to photograph these last few weeks. I have been pretty good up until now but I am feeling like my photos are becoming repetitive.  Maybe I need to go for a drive or look at things from a different perspective or use a different lens for a week.  I'm not sure but I will have to think about it, change things up and get my mojo back.  This photo is from my Monday baking.  I love a sweet cupcake covered in sprinkles.

101/365 Happy Mail Day

It was a good day today for all kinds of reasons, life is good and I am grateful for getting to be a stay at home Mum and enjoy the school holidays with my daughters.  And also today I got a bit of happy mail delivered.  I have wanted to order for iherb for a little while but haven't really had a need to buy very much.  My main reason was to buy some organic witch hazel that I plan on using to make some products for our home.  But I thought if I want to order that why not make it worthwhile.  And so I ordered just a few other things, mostly I thought it would be fun for us to try.  So I just thought I would share my fun iherb order with you.  Have you ordered from iherb before?

86/365 Carrot Cake Bliss Balls

On Monday I didn't quite have the time or energy to make the one last lunch box treat on the menu plan.  So this afternoon I managed to fit in making these delicious treats.  They are super healthy and very easy to make especially when all you have to really do is a little bit of grating, blending and rolling and really that's it.  It's been a long time since I have shared a recipe here so here it is for you if you should want to give it a try.
*11/2 cups walnut halves
*10 dates
*1 large carrot grated
*1 teaspoon finely grated fresh ginger (use 1/2 tsp if you don't want it as strong)
*1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
*1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
*pinch sea salt flakes
*50g LSA or ground almonds
* finely grated zest of 1 lemon (optional)
*1 cup of shredded/desiccated coconut

Place all of the ingredients except the coconut into the food processor and blend.  Roll balls of mixture into coconut.  Put into the fridge and enjoy.

14/365 Chocolate is my weakness

I'm not much of a lolly person but I do really love chocolate.  My favourite chocolate would have to be Pana Chocolate.  I usually only have a few squares over the weekend for dessert or if I feel like being naughty, my little treat.  Do you have a favourite sweet treat you like for dessert?
