Monday, June 18

Thank you so much for all of your support on Friday's post it really means a lot to know how much you care, your kind words always pick me up and make me feel like I'm not alone.  I sometimes wish I could get all of my lovely blogging friends in a room and sit down and just have a nice big chat, wouldn't that be nice.  Although that's impossible it's so nice to get to know so many people who live near and far away and be able to experience our lives through blogging.

I welcomed the weekend in with zest for happier days and I wasn't let down.  My hubby knew just how to make me smile with this beautiful bunch of flowers he bought home for me.
There was some shallow spending on the weekend too just a couple of new things for the winter wardrobe, just the hubby and I hitting the shops.  It's not on my list of fun activities these days but it sure is nice to do occasionally though too.

I added a touch of sparkle to my world, I love a great pedicure.
There was a bit of cooking and lots of mess making.  Those brownies are very tasty thank you Dawson for the recipe.
Hanging out with my two favourite girls, one sporting some new handmade crochet  slippers and playing games with the little one.
It's the last week of school before holidays start so it's going to be a busy one but when the week is over  there will be a huge big sigh and we can all relax for a little while, I can't wait.

Have a wonderful Monday♥

Linking with the lovely Lou today.

  2. What lovely flowers! Your girls are so pretty Catherine and I can't believe how grown-up your youngest looks in that photo - she is becoming such a young woman now.

I too wish it were possible to catch up with blogging friends some way other than via our computers :) I'd love to sit down for a cuppa with you and chat away, somehow I think we'd still be chatting away after several cuppas :)

Enjoy your day my friend. I'm off to dancing class with Grace (although she's been telling me all morning she wants to stay home and play dress-ups and paint... this will be interesting!! ...) xx

So glad to hear that the end of your week was pleasant, your slippers are just lovely and of course one can't go past a bit of sparkle.

  5. I'd love to be in that room too :) So sorry to hear of your week last week. I think witnessing any life threatening event can really shake you up. Nothing you see on the news can prepare you for seeing an accident first hand.
Looks like you've been very busy in the kitchen this weekend turning out all sorts of yummy things. Hope this week is looking up for you x

  9. That is what I love about the internet, that we are all connected and we can come together in a space like this to share and inspire each other. It is what helped me to adjust to my new life when we moved here 4 years ago. Your girls are so gorgeous, Catherine.
