The girls and I headed out into the city for lunch today. It's always on our list of favourite things to do on the holidays. And since I love taking happy snaps I brought the camera along with me. Miss 12 thought it was a little absurd that both myself and Miss 8 were taking photos since we aren't tourists. I like the idea of having a bit of fun playing tourist in my own town, seeing things a little differently each time. Here are a few photos I took when we went for a walk before and through the Botanical Gardens.
Do you like taking photos even in your home town?
Lunch with the ladies, how civilized! Glad you were able to get out and enjoy some sunny sydney :) We try and always take our camera when we go out. You just never know what you'll see!
ReplyDeleteWow. Gorgeous photos x
ReplyDeleteLovely photos Catherine. I take my camera with me a lot these days - I used to feel a bit funny about snapping away in 'every day places' but now I don't.
ReplyDeleteoff to the city tomorrow, love being a tourist in it as well, in our case Melbourne.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos of the water features, and I love that pinwheel daisy. When you can take such excellent photos ....why not?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos. I always have my camera with me. X
ReplyDeleteI love bringing my camera with me when I'm out and about. Because I have an Irish accent I get away with looking like a tourist! Who cares as long as the end result is some great images to keep the memories of the day alive!
ReplyDeleteI love taking photos everywhere! And especially in our own town! Xx
ReplyDeleteI need to take more in our home town. I tend to only take my camera when we go somewhere!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos, the water ones are amazing. I love to take photos of everyday things including our home town.
ReplyDeleteGlad you took your camera to share your day with us....yes we are heading off to do something similar this week in our city. Have a great week ahead. xxx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos as always. I love the fountain photo! I have a folder with hundreds of flower photos and sky photos ;-) Last weekend we took our boat out on the river and I took photos of the water and big cargo boats and of course our little girls enjoying time in the sun with their daddy. Sometimes taking photos of familiar places and situations heightens my feelings of gratitude. xx
ReplyDeleteI do love to take photos around my little town. I love it's country beauty and the old weatherboard houses and trimmed hedges. Thank you for showing us around a small part of your home town, the pics are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI do, I take snap shots of every interesting bit. There are little details in this city that are worth a picture, even if I look like a tourist (we have so many, one more will not make any difference!)
ReplyDeletehiya
ReplyDeletelovely photos thankyou, I tend to use my phone to take photos but its no use in full sun, can't see what you are taking lol, I really must dig my camera out and start using it
Such pretty photos - I love the flowers!! I love taking photos but at the moment just have a small point and click camera - a nice big fancy one is on my wishlist - then there'd be no stopping me!
ReplyDeleteStunning photos Catherine and yes, always taking photos in my home town! I was snapping away at the Opera House from the Manly Ferry the other day! x
ReplyDeleteI love taking photos around my town. These and everyday at-home photos are the most precious to me. Wish I'd had them from years gone by.
