A few cards

It's been a busy week here and with the big birthday only 8 days away (as it's being counted down each day) the camera hasn't been out much at all.  I love celebrating birthday's with a party but I have to confess the whole thing really does make me a little stressed.  There is still a bit to be done with the decorations, the take home gifts and the party activities so I hope to get most of that done this weekend with a little bit of help from the birthday girl. We need to garden and mow the yard and then the most important of all is the birthday present which I'm still to buy but I have a list so I hope it won't take long once I finally head to the shops.  How do you cope with birthday parties?  Do you find the process enjoyable or just a little bit stressful?

I was thinking of what I could post today and then I thought it has been a while since I've shared any craft of the card making variety.  Here are a few cards that I have made over the last couple of months that I haven't had a chance to share with you yet.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone♥

I love organising children's parties but goodness they are stressful....sometimes i wonder why i do it...but then you see their faces!Good luck, i know it can seem overwhelming getting all the prep done!!

  5. Beautiful cards, Catherine. Enjoy the birthday preparations. I must say that as much as I love them, I too find them stressful. It's my birthday on Monday, so I can relax and be spoilt, woo hoo!

  6. I think girls are different than my boys ... at least my boys. They don't want birthday parties. Just want to hang with their friends, without parent supervision. I haven't done parties since they were little and even those were simple gatherings, except for the big to-do we had at Hungry Bunny for my first son's 1st birthday. :) Your cards are lovely. I need to get back to more papercrafting. Have a wonderful weekend. Tammy

  9. Love the 'Amber' card. I really enjoy planning parties, making decorations and invitations and so on... but that doesn't mean I don't find it stressful because I do! I'm in the middle of thinking about Sophie's 1st birthday party as well as my annual Pink Ribbon Day fundraiser... x
