Little Bits and Pieces

Hi there.  Sorry I didn't stop by yesterday, the girls and I have been keeping busy, we caught a movie together Tuesday waited a long time for tickets but had a good laugh. Today we spent time with my friend and her family, playing with their new very cute puppy, the girls had a swim too, much much too cold for me.  Tonight I made sushi for the first time, added vegetables rather than meat and they turned out well. Miss 13 wants more sushi for lunch tomorrow, we'll see but it's nice to know she enjoyed them so much. I've printed up the photos for the competition, I'm a little nervous about entering but as Miss 13 said to me you have to be in it to win it so tomorrow I'll hand them in and cross my fingers.  Above is the other UFO I finished on the weekend, a little apple pincushion, just because.  I found the pattern in the Mollie Makes magazine, you can find the downloads for the magazine here. Today I got an email from Tim about the Nursery, not long to go now, I am very much looking forward to this workshop, to be able to listen to Tim's story and to get a good grasp on taking photos on manual.  So that's what's been happening here, just little bits and pieces.

Hoping things are happy in your world♥

  2. It's sometimes hard to get a good sense of comparative size in a photo isn't it..I thought your lovely red apple was a cherry at first..'cos I thought it was really little compared to the floorboards. You've sewn it very neatly.

Happy the sushi was a success. We love it here too. Time consuming but worth it.

  8. Sounds like you are all enjoying lovely days of quality time together. We had sushi for lunch yesterday -- my oldest loves it and wants me to learn how to make it so I can send some to school for their lunches rather than the same old peanut butter sandwiches. I would have to do vege sushi ... still way too hot here for them to carry anything that would spoil. Your little apple pincushion is so sweet. Have a great weekend. Tammy

  11. What a cute little apple! I am so glad you're joining Tim's workshop. I've been eyeing off his dates for Perth but unfortunately, they'll be the day before and the day of Grace's birthday party so I don't think I'll be able to join in this round :(
