It would seem that I have lost some of my blogging mojo, my inbox has more emails in there than I would like and I have fallen behind in visiting all of you lovely ladies, I'm sorry I haven't been around much but I hope to soon catch up.
With Christmas not too far away and with a swap over at Christina's blog I am to create a decoration for, I have been doing some searching the web to find some creative inspiration. Here is some of what I found on my search.
Look at this sweet Gingerbread house decoration, link to the pdf found here.
Or if you enjoy doing some crochet, Lucy from Attic 24 has some beautiful decorations you can create.
I love the effect that has been created by folding fabric and pinning it onto styrofoam balls. Tutorial here.
Maybe you prefer to create a star ornament? These would make sweet ornaments too.
And who doesn't love doilies? I like the simplicity of the red and white of these ornaments.
Which one is your favourite?
Such a busy time of year isn't it? I love ALL of those decorations. The mini tapestry-type ones are really sweet. I'm doing the swap too and actually making Lucy's star ornaments for my 2 partners :-) I really need to learn to sew as I would really enjoy making all those felted numbers. Mel x
ReplyDeleteThat little felt house is so cute! I have been gathering some ideas for my ornaments too. I am so excited for this swap.
ReplyDeleteI can see I'm not the only one trying to gather some inspiration for the swap! I love the red and white simplicity of the doily and felt stars...I wonder...
ReplyDeleteOh, they are all super sweet and clever. That little house is very cute and Lucy's stars are a favourite too. Great selection! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the nudge...I must start thinking about gifts too...I am definitely a doily gal so they were my favourite. xx
ReplyDeleteOh those folded paper ones look just like real pine cones. I'm sure they would be fiddly but they are gorgeous. Hope you find your internet-ey spirit soon. Much love Steph :) x
ReplyDeleteYes such a crazy time of year with so much going on. I really love the fabric balls, such a great effect:)

I do love the gingrebread house and the styrofoam balls, thank you for the tutorials.
ReplyDeleteI love them all, but the mini embroidery hoop would win my heart. Busy is good, especially the creative kind. X

ReplyDeleteso many gorgeous creations! I love the rainbow crochet button numbers!
ReplyDeleteGorgeousness. Very inspiring. I love the house.
ReplyDeleteSo much lovely inspiration! I like them all. I have so many things I would like to do but I am such a procrastinator. And sometimes I just find myself doing nothing at all. :/ Best wishes, Tammy
ReplyDeleteLove these ornament ideas, the gingerbread house is especially cute an an ornament that would be safe around our home with curious hands :) I've lost my blogging mojo a bit over the last few weeks too. I think I was worn out after all of Sophie's party preparations and now, with my knee causing me grief and a few doctors appointments to sort out what's going on, my heart hasn't been in writing. I've been craving simple, slow days in November before the chaotic month of December hits. However, over the past few days, I've found my enthusiasm again thankfully. Sorry I haven't stopped by often like I usually do x
