Today has been spent at home doing the most mundane of chores, housework. It's done now, a clean house ready for the week ahead although the washing is still sitting on the line drenched from the rain oh well a job for tomorrow. There's not been any Christmas cooking or making here just yet but I hope the weekend will be full of festive fun, my hubby will be home making it a little easier for me to get jobs done. The gifts are bought, some still to be made and then there will be a wrapping marathon, it's something we often do on Christmas eve, an accidental tradition but one I love. Just in case time gets away and I don't visit again before Christmas, I just wanted to wish all of you a day filled with lots of fun, happiness and beautiful memories made. Thank you for taking the time to stop by and brighten my day with your kind words they always make me smile. Take care and keep safe.
The best of all gifts around any Christmas tree: the presence of a happy family all wrapped up in each other.
Gifts of time and love are surely the basic ingredients of a truly merry Christmas.
What is Christmas? It is the tenderness for the past, courage for the present, hope for the future. It is a fervent wish that every cup may overflow with blessing rich and eternal, and that every path may lead to peace.
