We went for a drive

The girls and I took a  drive down the highway the other day to buy something just for me. Some supplies for more crafting.  I love beeswax candles but find they can be a little expensive to buy so when I found someone local to me that sells all things to do with bees and candle making I thought I should give making some a try for myself. They have moulds galore but with a growing jar collection in the cupboard I thought I would use them to make the candles.  I ended up buying 2kg of beeswax so I should have plenty to use up some of the collection and more than enough to giveaway as gifts also.
Since we were out on the road I thought we'd keeping driving to a little town that I haven't visited before.  There wasn't much to do, some horses to look at grazing in the paddock and an antique shop to browse in.  There was a pub of course, a post office and a little convenience store where we bought something for morning tea and then sat under the trees in the park.  It was just a simple time together just the girls and I, it was a nice way to break up the day, get out of the house for a bit  and  we can say we've been there now.

Have a wonderful weekend♥

  7. Beeswax candles smell so good. They were a new thing in the seventies and I remember buying one of the rolled ones that look like they're made out of little hexagons. It was the first candle I'd ever bought and I didn't light it for months, I just wanted to have it and look at it..and smell the honey!
