Snippets

I'm a little late this week with my snippets because it really was more of a week of just trying to make sense of things.  Miss 9's little budgie Sky passed away on Monday morning which was very sad.  We were prepared though because she had been having moments of seeming unwell and not just right so Tuesday night we had a service for her and buried her beside her brother Squawky.  I got news of my Dad feeling unwell again, something you just don't want to hear. I'm really trying not to think too hard about it because if I do I think I will end up not thinking of the now and that's what matters the most.  It's hard for me, I'm a thinker, a worrier by nature, I'm trying not to though. What I do know after my week is to always take good care of my health, to go and get that not so fun test to make sure that history doesn't repeat itself which I know won't happen (positive thinking always), that life is for living and for doing what you enjoy most and for being happy. So here are some of my bits of happy from last week and thank you for listening my dear friends.
1 & 2. Making a small batch of lip balm for Miss 13 who had run out of hers recently and was in need of something in this cool weather.  Not only is it all natural it's very yummy too.
3. I made this light box to try and take some jewellery photos for my brother in law.
4. The view from my bedroom window.
5. A bunch of flowers from my hubby to brighten up my day.

Joining in with the lovely Em this week.

  2. Beautiful photos Catherine. I love that you make your own lip balm, the commercial ones really taste so icky. I'm with you on the worryness. I have no solution for it, but send you a like-minded hug. Take care! Sarah

  3. What a fantastic view from your bedroom window and perfect light for the photo to really hilight the trees. You're very clever making lip balm. Losing some body you love at nine can be hard, I remember losing a puppy at that age and how upset I was at the time, it's still hard to lose a pet too. I hope your Dad will be better though and you'll have less to worry about.

  4. Sorry to hear about the Budgie - poor Miss 9. Our Kids lost a couple of their pets recently and it was so hard seeing them upset. I really hope your Dad feels well again soon. Your photos are always a joy to look at though. Your view is gorgeous from your bedroom window. I don't know why but I thought you lived in or very near to the city.....and bless your gorgeous hubby for those flowers. Mel x

  6. Life is for living and for being happy: yes, never forget this! And in the darkest moment just think that it will pass, one day at a time. Hugs.
