My Creative Space

 In my space today is the finished set of pyjamas for my nephew.

And although his mum will really appreciate pyjamas, and he'll like them too, I thought a little something to play with would be nice too.  I was inspired by these bean bags but I chose to use some fabric in my stash, making them out of denim and some applique shapes. They weren't time consuming and are a great way for him to practice his shapes, and tossing them into a hoop is also good hand eye co-ordination.

My 'Creepy' Creative Space

I am a Mum to two daughters so when it comes to gifts for boys I'm pretty clueless.  When I buy things I usually go for Lego because it's pretty safe but I want to give handmade and this time I found something pretty clever I thought a boy turning 7 might like.  

I was watching Martha one day when this segment came on turning an ordinary shirt into something a bit cool and different.  Yesterday I thought I'd give it a try, I was a bit worried sewing stretch on stretch but with some help from the ladies at the sewing shop and hearing Kate's voice in my head saying it wasn't so bad,I did it and had fun too! I hope he likes it:)

Yesterday my sweet nephew turned one.  After lots of great ideas for boys I settled on some bunting and with the leftover fabric I covered a couple of art canvas's to decorate his room.  He has lots of toys, many we've handed down from the girls and he has an older brother so these presents should last a while before he gets too big.

He managed to stay awake for the cake and singing and then he was off to sleep.

How are your Easter preparations going?  I'm trying not to buy chocolate as a gift so I'm on the look out for craft ideas to make instead. So tomorrow I'll be back with some Easter craft ideas I've found on the net I thought you might like to try too.

I'm Still Here

Hello there everyone, long time no see. I have been around and still visiting everyone but haven't posted because we changed over computers and so didn't have my camera software uploaded and no pictures to show you, and blog posts looks so much nicer with a picture to share. Today was my first day without my little ones since they went back to school and I am happy to say that although they wanted to stay home, they still happily went to school and both had great days which makes me happy! With a bit of uninterrupted time I made a belated card for my friend's boy who celebrated his 7th birthday earlier this month. It can be hard to know what is suitable for a boy at his age so I went with monster paper which I think will be pretty safe, and I think it is kinda cute. So one card down and more to go, I still have my nephew, my brother and my husband, so a male week of cards to show you this week. Hope to see you again tomorrow with another card, bye.
