174-176/365 Weekending, Weekdaying

Boy did the weekend whizz by and today is Monday, the first day of school holidays for my youngest.  I do love school holidays for the slow days, taking your time to get things done which makes things nice and calm.  On the weekend we decided to go to the markets, it was the perfect weather.  I did a bit of shopping for me and a bit for a couple of other people.  I am now looking out for Christmas present ideas, trying to be organised!!  There was our weekly grocery shopping, lots of fresh fruit and vegetables although I may have to go back and get a little more fruit towards the end of the week.  And today's baking was another gluten free experiment for me.  I am far more used to baking with flour and butter but as one member of the family wants to go gluten free for a couple of weeks I am giving it a try. The biscuits were a little dry to work with but they did taste yummy.  How was your weekend?

How has your weekend been?  Have you been exploring? Has the weekend already finished??? Today we decided to do a bit of exploring.  Our first stop in our exploring was a visit to the Northey Street Organic Markets. I have always wanted to visit but because of distance I haven't until today and it didn't disappoint.  We came home with lots of fruit and vegetables, not all I needed for the week ahead as I didn't go with a list unfortunately I wasn't quite that organised but what I did buy will all be eaten I'm sure of that.  If we are in the area again I will certainly stop by everything I need from fruit, vegetables, meat and dairy was all there. The Finders Keepers Market was on this weekend also, just down the road from the organic markets so that was our next stop.  I missed out earlier in the year so I knew I wanted to get there this time. There was so many beautifully made products, so much choice.  I did come home with a little bracelet for myself from a lovely shop I had been admiring for a while from Once Was Lost. My youngest miss bought herself some earrings and a Christmas tag for her teacher from Paper Boat Press. It was a really lovely day spending time with my family on such a sunny Sunday.  We came home later and just relaxed except for Molly who was very happy and keen to play ball.  I hope you had a wonderful weekend and may your week be a good one too.

Saturday, May 28

Hi there.  How has your weekend been going?  I hope you've had time to relax, had a snippet of time to yourself to enjoy a cup of something warm to drink.
Today my Little Miss and I headed to the Mathilda's market together to look at beautiful handmade treasures.
My brother in law and sister in law were there for the first time so I wanted to go and support them in their new venture as well as get a chance to cuddle my cute little niece:)  I also had the pleasure of seeing the lovely Steph and see all of her beautiful creations and one of the clever creators of Mondo Cherry.
Later in the day the girls got dressed up and ready for a little friends disco party.  My Little Miss got in the mood by doing some twirling to practice for the party, I only wish they could stay little and innocent forever.
Have a happy Sunday whatever you may be doing

To Market, To Market

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who left such beautiful comments about my big girl's braces yesterday, she was so happy to read them and enjoyed everyone of them:)

Today the girls and I decided to make our way to the Mathilda's Market in Brisbane. My girls are at a good age now that they like to come and explore with me and to see what pretty things they can find for Mum to buy;) I haven't been to this market before and the quality of the stall holders was high. There was lots of beautiful things to buy and I didn't go home empty handed. I have a birthday coming up at the end of the month for a young girl and found the perfect crocheted hat for her. I also got to meet the lovely Steph from Mon Petit Poppet and see all her beautiful work. I wish my girls were smaller because I just love her french girl dolls.

I hope that you enjoyed your Saturday. What did you get up to today?

Have a wonderful Sunday:)
