One of my goals this year was to extend myself and to learn new things, so I've stopped procrastinating and this week I started to crochet. I'm starting off easy with a dishcloth using the pattern from here. So the dishcloth making is going slowly as I'm still learning how to hold everything but with so many pretty things to make I can see another favourite craft obsession happening! (lol)
Thanks for popping in for a visit. Why don't you head on over to Kirsty's for my crafting inspiration!

Wow, I am a crochet chicken, I don't dare myself to try and there you are teaching yourself. I am in awe!
ReplyDeleteYay Catherine, you'll love it and be hooked in no time for sure. I found it much easier to learn on round and round shapes rather than back and forth rows. Might be worth a try at some stage. X
ReplyDeleteI'm super impresse with your dishcloth! I've had a stab at it recently too and really enjoyed it -but need more practice!

ReplyDeleteHi Catherine,
ReplyDeleteI look forward to seeing your creation when it is complete. I haven't yet mastered the art of crochet, but I am trying. Have a lovely week. Melinda x
Good on you for trying something new! By the looks of that you are a complete natural at crocheting... My Mum has just started my little girls on knitting, and as I am helping them, it's all coming back to me... I need a lot of practice, and I think scarves are all that I will be creating for a while!

Hi , Thats a pretty Yarn you are using, nice pattern too. What I love about crochet is that something materialises so very quickly in comparison to knitting. Have fun Catherine. : )
ReplyDeleteLooks great so far. Love the yarn choice- is it cotton? Great colours. I haven't braved crochet yet, but I'd like to... one day. xo m.
ReplyDeleteLove the colour of the yarn you're using. It's looking very good so far!
