At my house

there has been some preparations going on for the book week parade on Wednesday. Our theme this year is construction so in a house full of girls there are no plastic tools to be found so this afternoon, homemade cardboard ones have been made ready for Wednesday.

And Miss 10 has a music eisteddfod tomorrow so there is lots of flute practice going on

and
cake choosing, getting ready for Miss 10's birthday coming up next week. And my new natural food colouring arrived just in time for the birthday cakes.

If you want to play along this week stop by Lou Lou's.

  8. i recognise that cake! I'm also curious how the natural food coloring goes. I've got quite pale colors in the past when I've tried, but that stuff looks quite professional! I was quite excited to find hundreds and thousands with natural colors at the supermarket recently.

all the best in the eisteddfod and for the birthday party - fun times in your household!

  10. You have been busy Catherine. THe cardboard tools are a great idea. We need to prepare for book parade too and I have to come up with a Ranger's outfit from the series Ranger's Apprentice. It involves a grey/green cloak and a bow and arrow! xx

  12. I guess your girls are taking the "construction" theme to it's fullest - actually constructing the tools. They look fantastic.

I've been meaning to ask you, are you in the Allens lollies commercial?
