At My House

today we were busy cooking in kitchen. It's our first day of school holidays today and I asked the girls to both choose a recipe for cooking today. It was a great choice to cook today because we spent the most part of the day at home because of the rain.

My Miss 6 chose Chocolate and orange cookie sandwiches and

my big girl chose Caramel Scrolls.

We all had a good time cooking, tasting and learning lots of maths. It was a really good opportunity to talk about topics like fractions, millilitres and grams in a practical way that helps to reinforce what they are learning in class and for just a bit of practice.

Thanks for stopping in to see what's been happening at my house today. If you want to see what else has been happening 'At My House' go and visit Lou's to find out.

  14. I am always so inspired by the fun things you do with your girls Catherine and I hope that when Grace gets older, I can do exciting things like you do - you are such an imspiring Mum. Cooking is great for maths skills - I used to love doing cooking activities with my classes for this reason back when I was teaching.
