Saturday, April 30

I was a bit worried and I've procrastinated a lot but today I finally made those little purses I told you about on Thursday.  I bought the frame with the light green beads a while ago but was worried that it was going to be too hard and I would muck it up completely so by telling you about them it meant I had give them a go.  So with the house quiet, I gave it a try.  They were a bit fiddly and messy, but not so bad after all.  The second purse turned out better than the first but that was probably having a bit of practice and following directions properly:)  The little purse came with instructions in English but I found this visual step by step tutorial on Purl Bee to be helpful.  If you feel like making yourself a little purse I found my supplies here.

So what have you been up to this Saturday?  Have you got mother's day gifts ready yet, any ideas?

Enjoy the rest of your Saturday and may your Sunday be a happy one.

  4. Love the coin purses! The first one is my fave.

I have no idea what to get my Mum. She's always hard to buy for - not the homey/sewing type and she doesn't have any hobbies. Right now it's all about work for her.

  7. The purses look fabulous Cath! You mum is going to love them. I actually made the gift bag and matching card kind of the focus - with the usual, scarf and gift card for my mum. Slippers, sudoko book (i found a pretty floral covered one!) and fancy drink bottle for my MIL. They are getting harder to buy for lately!
