A Finished Lap Quilt
After many hours I have finished the vintage fabric lap quilt for my friend. It's a little wonky, not quite as even as it was meant to be. I'm still not sure why one side is 3cm shorter than the other mmm but it's full of character and oh so soft and squashy. It measures 102cm by 105 cm a good size to snuggle under while sitting on the lounge. This is my first larger size quilt I have made a little doll picnic blanket before and a patchwork pillow but nothing on this scale. So I'm please with how it turned out and that I didn't take too long to make, I think it may have something to do with the fact that today I'll be catching up with my friend and I don't know if I'll see her again before she leaves on the rest of her travels. To help me along with the quilt I referred to a few helpful tutorials here, here and here.
We've been having a bit of rain here the last few days and last night I could here the croaking of a frog. It was quite loud and I thought it may have been in a pipe but this morning I discovered it sitting happily in my watering can.
Have a great Sunday♥
