It's a start on my first crafty crochet project for the year and it's for me.  It's been a while since I've done any crochet the blanket is still waiting for me to finish it with a few rows added since I last showed you but it's still a bit too hot to do anymore just yet.  So what could it be?  I'll show you soon.  Have you started any crafty projects this year?

  1. I am wondering what this is going to become?!
I have yet to do anything crafty as Byron is home on holidays until next week. I usually wait until he is safely at work before I risk spreading my craft "stuff" everywhere!

  6. Ooh I am loving that design...I am thinking snooping bag too, only because a friend recently made one that looked very similar.
I have only recently picked up the hook again myself...it's such a relaxing craft isn't it Catherine?

  10. It's looking lovely, whatever it is, though I am thinking shopping bag too. I'm still adding a row of knitting here and there to a garter stitch blanket when the nights are cool enough. This pregnancy seems to have zapped much of my creative energy, unlike being pregnant with Cohen, where I was crafting all the time.

  11. Happy New Year Catherine! I love all the things you are striving for this year. I also like to set goals more so than make resolutions. I love the colour of your new project. I am thinking it may be the start of a doily to be used in your craft room? I have started and almost completed a very small project for a friends daughter. Will have to take some photos and start blogging again(on my list for this year).

    Have a very happy year!
    Cheers, Deb

  13. Love that colour! I started a felt elephant toy for a little girl's 3rd birthday. Handsewing has become therapy to me. So calming. I imagine crochet and knitting to be the same but I am so beginner at these still and need some guidance from someone with experience who lives nearby... yet to find it! Enjoy the creation. Great to treat yourself. mom .
