the little one and I got a little bit of time to ourselves. Molly needed to have her haircut at a new clipper, our regular lady moved to S.A. sadly. The new clipper lives close by to a lovely local water attraction, so we decided to wait the hour until she finished. We went to the supermarket, picked up some fruit and a magazine and headed to the park.
Ate our blackberries
and watched the ducks. It was nice to have a bit of one on one time together.
Today is our last day of holidays, the books are almost finished, 43 covered 3 more to go and I only have two at school! Monday is the start of a new year, and a new school for Miss 7. I hope it will be a good year for her this year, it's always so scary starting somewhere new (for me too) but her sister will be close by if she needs her.
I bought some new fabric the other day, a bit for me and a bit for Miss 7, a new bag for each of us. One just for me, just because and one for her, a gift for her birthday coming up. It's going to be a busy week, school and birthday preparations, I'll will be feeling the end of the holiday well and truly I think.
Have a wonderful weekend♥
Beautiful way to enjoy the sunshine! I'm feeling so nervous about the start of school! Two of my boys will go full time now, just me and Vann! I'll miss them, I love holidays! We still have 11 days to go. Enjoy the rest of your afternoon :)
ReplyDeleteWow, it seems you have busy days ahead, Catherine. I hope all goes well for the return to school...for everyone ~ xx
ReplyDeletethis is lovely catherine. i think one on one time is imperative. often my mum will take levi for a night and penny another so we can do the same. back to school comes around fast. just when we think we can slow down over the holiday season school days are back on! i love the fabric you have there. enjoy your weekend. xo.
ReplyDeleteI love one on one time with my kids too. The reversible bag looks like it will be great - a similar design to my favourite bag of all time! 43 books - you deserve a medal!
ReplyDeleteLovely fabric and lovely pattern. Thanks for the link. And you've also added some more validation to my decision not to send my 4.5-year-old to school this year - another year before I have to worry about covering books!!!! Phew!
ReplyDeleteOne on one time is so important and something I don't do enough of. Looks like a lovely place to spend time together Catherine :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful fabric. I am sure it will make delightful bags.
ReplyDeleteI am glad you were able to conclude the holidays on a high. The blackberries and time at the park sound enjoyable.
Good luck to Miss 7 for next week.
I went back to school this week to get ready for my new troops, and my children go back to school Monday too. I have just been sticking name tags on all the books I covered last weekend.... my daughter starts High school on Monday, where does time go? I hope your children have a great start to the school year. I am goingto check out that bag now, I love that fabric! Have a great weekend and make the most of the last days of the holidays! X
