How was your weekend?  Saturday was a busy one for us, we had the pleasure of going to a wedding. It's been a while since we've been to a wedding, all of my friends are married now, we all got married within a year of each other and for us that was almost 14 years ago now. Weddings are such beautiful events to go to aren't they, everyone is so happy and the love you see between the couple, it made me smile all night. The ceremony was a simple affair with a pretty water back drop, a place I've bookmarked for a picnic for another day. We were treated to a traditional Chinese banquet, I'm sure more adventurous foodies would have loved trying such an array of dishes, I am though a little reserved on the seafood front so I patiently waited till the crispy skin chicken and fried rice arrived.
Sunday was a quiet day, a day at home not doing much at all.
Enjoy the rest of your Monday

  9. What a blissful looking weekend you had. I remember a time when we were going to a few weddings a month and like you, it is a rare treat these days!

BTW - you won the giveaway on my blog! Send me your postal address and I'll pop it in the post! Although it does seem a little funny sending cards to such a clever card maker as yourself! There are other items in the pack though!

  13. The wedding you went to sounds like it was really lovely. It looks like such a beautiful setting. I too enjoy weddings although we don't go to many these days either - the most recent one was one of my younger cousins. Your weekend shots are lovely - your photos are really good. I especially love the chicken shot - I didn't realise you had chickens - how lucky :) Hope you're having a good week x

The upcoming weddings in our life are those of the next generation. I have two nieces getting married in the next two years. It will be wonderful to have everyone together again.
Your Sunday sounds like the way I like to spend mine...nice and quiet :)
