It's been a good week, a bit of exploring and a bit of time spent at home. I'm sad that today is Sunday and that the school holidays are coming to an end, tomorrow it's back to the school routine again but we have had a nice break resting, renewing our energy for the term ahead. The house will be quiet with just Molly and I, I'll miss their company but I have a busy week ahead which is good. Here's some little snippets of our week.
1. Our trip to the Maleny Dairy in the countryside.2. Venturing out for another one of our day trips this time to the sea.
3. Miss Molly looking ever so cute taking a nap under the coffee table.
4. Still working on that crochet, almost finished the first ball of wool.
5. A new potting bench for me made by my clever hubby reusing wood that used to be batons under the house.
6. Our chickens out having a scratch around.
7. Some flowers in my neighbours front yard.
Joining the lovely Em again this week.

All the best with the back to school week..I used to hate my kids going back to school as I really missed those relaxed mornings and tight time tables too!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you've had lovely outings. I like candid photos like the beach one -- always get some like that of my boys whenever we travel. That Molly is a little love muffin. :) Best wishes, Tammy
ReplyDeleteAs you bid the holidays farewell we're welcoming them with open arms! You've just put a trip to the beach on my To Do list on one of our days :) Molly is just gorgeous! Sunny has been begging me for a puppy for the longest time now... She would adore Molly to bits! Have a lovely week Catherine.

ReplyDeleteGorgeous potting bench. Your hubby did a great job. I can I just say "wow" about that crocheting.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you've had an enjoyable school holidays. Ours is just starting, but I'm not sure why NSW chose a later school holiday term than everyone else? Maleny Dairy I would love to visit. Rhonda on Down to Earth talks about them often. Sadly no local dairies here, though many years ago there was one down the road. Though I would love to be able to help support a local dairy.
ReplyDeleteI wasn't ready to say goodbye to the school holidays either. 'Twas quite the rude awakening this morning! You looked like you had a beautiful, relaxing break.
ReplyDeleteYour dog and your chicken. Chilled and beautiful. x

ReplyDeleteI love these snippets of your week. You know, I've been reading your blog for weeks and it was just lovely to "have" you in my space today. I really love your way of taking photos: they're so evocative. And you and Che and Fidel are one of my favourite international blogs. Elegant pics, good writing and a sense of harmony.
ReplyDeleteI'm honoured you like my pics ('cause yours are just fabulous) and yes, you're right: we live in two very different countries and I think this is one of the most interesting aspects of blogging: to know and take part to something "different" but also similar and "closed" to us.
ReplyDeleteAn to tell you the truth Italy is different from any other place in Europe: it's a little artistic and geographic "treasure". I really hope we will tell each other many things about where we live.
Have a nice relaxing weekend too, Catherine.
