I had my little toddler friend come to visit today. There was lots of chatting and singing, lots of fun drawing with chalk and playing with bubbles. I really did have fun with my sweet little visitor even though I may just be feeling a little bit tired tonight....

98/365 Library Visit
Gosh I love Sundays. I do have a bit of a routine list I need to work through on a Sunday. I need to do the washing, usually the ironing but not today as we are still on school holidays and the menu planning. I generally take the day slowly and with only a few things to do today we all decided it was time to revisit the library. The library is such a wonderful place to visit and I managed to find another great selection of books to look at for the month. Did you have a nice weekend?

This weekend I really wanted to stay at home after a couple of weekends out and about. But when my hubby came home saying he could get VIP tickets to the Brisbane Ice-cream Festival today I knew I would have some very keen daughters. So we ventured out on the rainy day together and had a nice time seeing all the delicious looking ice cream creations. Taking lots of photos along the way too. Here are the treats that each of us chose today. Have you ever been to an ice cream festival?

From The Weekend
It was a busy weekend full of time hanging with the family. It's been a while since we've all been together to enjoy each others company but on Sunday we finally did. There were three birthday's to celebrate and Mother's Day. It was so good to just have that face to face contact with one another that we haven't had for months. Everyone had a lovely time and we said that next time won't be so long in between catching up.
Time spent with family is worth every second.

Our Easter
It was a quiet Easter this year, just a small gathering.
The girls got far too many Easter eggs and we got far too much chocolate. I do like chocolate though.
Today it was time to be with friends, to connect with those who are their to support and care for us.
A drive through the country, up to Maleny to the Maleny Botanical Gardens, thank you Kathy for the fantastic idea. We then finished the day beside the sea. It really was the perfect way to celebrate Easter, I feel content, grateful and blessed. Thank you Sally and Brett for making Easter Monday a great day for us.
I hope your Easter was filled with chocolate, family and special memories.

356-361/365 'Friends, Family and Festivities"
And so just like that Christmas is over and done with for another year. The few days before Christmas kept me busy catching up with friends, last minute shopping and prepping the house for the family. Towards the end I was getting a little overwhelmed, wanting to get things done just so, making sure the girls gifts were bought and if I'm honest dreading the day just a little. Christmas can bring with it a bit of a mixed bag of emotions and this year well just wasn't the same without Dad... It became very obvious how tired I was with a few mishaps come Christmas morning. Little daughters got big daughters underwear in her stocking, I forgot to hand all the presents under the tree and then when my Miss 15 was swinging listening to her music I asked her why she wasn't using her new speaker?? What speaker Mum, I didn't get a speaker!! Said speaker was still under the tree even though I had collected other gifts left under there minutes earlier hahah. They were both good about my mishaps thankfully. Otherwise the day went well, everyone one was happy, we came together to be with each other and everyone went home tired and well fed. Today has been a quiet one, not doing very much at all with the weather being so wet it's been perfect to catch up on some relaxation.
How was your Christmas? I hope it was a happy one spent with those you love.

It's been a good week, a bit of exploring and a bit of time spent at home. I'm sad that today is Sunday and that the school holidays are coming to an end, tomorrow it's back to the school routine again but we have had a nice break resting, renewing our energy for the term ahead. The house will be quiet with just Molly and I, I'll miss their company but I have a busy week ahead which is good. Here's some little snippets of our week.
1. Our trip to the Maleny Dairy in the countryside.2. Venturing out for another one of our day trips this time to the sea.
3. Miss Molly looking ever so cute taking a nap under the coffee table.
4. Still working on that crochet, almost finished the first ball of wool.
5. A new potting bench for me made by my clever hubby reusing wood that used to be batons under the house.
6. Our chickens out having a scratch around.
7. Some flowers in my neighbours front yard.
Joining the lovely Em again this week.

This weekend
there was fun to be had.
Eating lots of sugary foods.
Going on cool rides.
Playing games.
Watching the entertainment and enjoying the monster trucks.
But loving the fire works.
Catching the possum that has been living in the house and returning it to a new home.
Eating freshly baked, free form lemonade scones made by the big girl.
May your week ahead be a happy one♥
