Lately I've been in a bit of a rut, you know when you feel a little like you just keep repeating the same kinds of things just on a different day? That's been me recently. Many times we have passed Government House, seen the signs for open day but have never visited until today. Today was the day to get out of a rut and make the drive to take a peek at Government House.  I have to say we were a little disappointed. We we only given a small tour and unfortunately weren't able to take photos inside but I we were able to walk around the grounds and take as many photos as we liked. So come for a walk with me around Government House.
How do you snap out of a rut?

  1. Thanks for sharing :) The flower photo's and ground look lovely. To snap out of a rut I get out and try different things as you have done. So maybe next time will be less disappointing for you.

  4. To snap out of a rut I take some time out. It may be time with my family or it might be time on my own. I might go to the library, watch a movie, sit in the sun, read a magazine, check out Pinterest, check out Instagram or blogs. I suppose I'm looking for some inspiration. It's a shame government house didn't work. At least you gave it a go. I also like to visit the plant nursery or a lovely coffee shop. I find if I do something that makes me feel happy, it usually helps. Hope you have a better day tomorrow. xxoo

  5. Oh Catherine, I hear you, this was me the last couple of weeks (actually on and off a lot to be honest) I don't know what happened, all I can describe it as is a shift of energies and suddenly things have changed for the better. You just need to wait for your stars to align and the shift will happen itself. I'm certain our state of mind is not ours to control a lot of the time. These pictures are just so beautiful x

  7. Love those pretty camellias! I've felt a bit unmotivated and uninspired here lately too... perhaps it's winter and natural we're all feeling a bit that way? xx
