Our month of December

Well hello there....It has been a very long time since I have been in this space.  I am sorry for not posting regularly for those who still like visiting blogs which sadly seems to not be the trend these days.  I have spoken about it before here too that I too am guilty of going over to instagram, it seems to be the way of connecting these days.  But I am determined that next year I will be back here in this space more often, posting I hope once a week.  I am sure I can do it, I once used to post daily which seems hard to believe.... I don't think I quite have the same amount to blog about these days but you never know. So here is a little blog catchup from the month or two that have passed. There has been a bit of crafting, Christmas, my littlest finished primary school and my oldest has just one more year of high school and now it's school holidays time for fun!! I hope you have had a great Christmas celebrating with your loved ones and that you have had some time to relax over the holiday season.  I will be back to do one last post of the year to chat about my goals I hoped to have achieved this past year.  See you again soon and thank you to those who still visit and are following along.

  1. Lovely to see you Catherine. I am still a blog reader and writer. Instagram is so quick and easy that I do go there more often, but I still like the connection that blogging brings. I also find that there are people I can miss on Instagram, like yourself, because I often just scroll through my feed. I hope you keep posting here so I can catch up with you more often. Lots of love, Julie xo

  2. I love blogs still, yes I do instagram but I enjoy my few select blogs more. I feel even more grateful, because I don't blog myself so it feels a little selfish to expect others to share with me.
    cheers Kate

  3. I'm glad to see you post again. Your photos and crafts are always so lovely. I like Instagram for a quick peek at pretty pictures. I enjoy blogs for the little glimps into the daily hum of life. I'll look forward to your goals for the New Year. That has been on my mind as well. Happy New Year, Lisa

  5. Your images just keep getting better Catherine! We are colouring in here too - miss six and I are sharing a colouring book and surprised by just how much I love it!! I have similar plans as you to blog weekly - and share some free prints too. I miss creating and sending out my words, and reading blogs more often too. Happy New Year to you and your beautiful family xx

  6. I managed a bit of colouring in pre-Christmas to de-stress. Your daughter is absolutely gorgeous! Love all your Christmas makings. This year was a whirlwind; we did not manage to see Christmas lights. Yes there is so many benefits to instagram especially the amount of people you can connect with and how quick and easy it is to use. But I'll always visit blogs even though it's a dying trend. I wonder if it will ever come back.

  7. Your photos are lovely and I hope you can find the time to blog more regularly in 2016! I love reading blogs and writing on my own but sadly I find it difficult to find blogs to read these days and when I do they either stop posting or become very infrequent. I saw someone mention the other day that they feel there it's moving back towards blogging now though as you can connect on a different level than on social media. I hope they are right :-)

  8. I know exactly how you feel. I just haven't had as much time to write posts or read others blogs over the past year. IG has been an easier way to connect with others. However, like you, I'm going to aim for a post a week this year (just did a post yesterday for the first time in ages!) as I do enjoy writing and having an excuse to pull out the 'big camera'. I loved seeing your re-cap here of December and your amazing photos xx
