Hi there my lovely friends!  Sorry I haven't been around in a while, I missed all of you.  I've found it hard to think of things that might be interesting to post about so I've come up short hence my lack of posts but this week I've got some presents to sew up on my new machine and cards to make so I should have some more to show you;)

Over the last week we've been doing a bit of gardening,

the girls have been doing some creating together and

I've been doing some baking.

Thank you for coming by to visit lovelies.  Have a terrific Tuesday.

P. S.  Here's the recipe for the Sultana Tea Loaf for you, enjoy:)

2 black tea bags
1 cup boiling water
2 cups sultanas
125g butter, melted
3/4 cup caster sugar
2 eggs lightly beaten
1/4 cup milk
3/4 cup plain flour
3/4 cup self raising flour

1. Place tea bags in heatproof jug.  Add boiling water.  Stand for 5 minutes.  Remove and discard bags.  Place sultanas in a heatproof bowl.  Add tea.  Stand for 30 minutes.
2. Preheat oven to 180 degrees/ 160 degrees fan forced.  Grease a 6cm deep, 9cm x 19cm (base) loaf pan.  Line base and sides with baking paper, allowing 2cm overhang on long sides.
3. Place sultana mixture, butter, sugar, eggs, milk and sifted flours in a bowl. Stir to combine.
4. Pour into prepared pan. Bake for 1 hour 10 minutes or until a skewer inserted in centre comes out clean. Cool in pan for 5 minutes.  Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.  Slice.  Serve with butter.

To Freeze: You can freeze loaf whole or in slices.  Wrap in plastic wrap, then foil.  Freeze up to 2 months.

To Thaw:  Thaw at room temperature for 1 hour (for slices) or 2 to 3 hours (for whole loaf).

  1. Well, all looks very productive! Your wrap recipe is a big hit in our house. Nathan made them wed night and tonight. We have to make 4 x the recipe to feed 3 hungry little boys, and to have enough for the groom and I. They are so easy, we will never by shop ones again!

  6. Nothing like pottering in the garden and baking is there. You always end up with such wonderful returns for your labor.
