A few days ago this little blog of mine clocked over six figures, I have to say I was just a little bit excited. It has been 4 years and 772 posts later since I first started this little blogging adventure.  My girls have grown lots and I have too, learning so much about myself and learning so much from others.  Recently one of my favourite blogs asked her readers to leave in the comments any questions they may have, things they are curious about whether it's photography like what camera I use,  a crochet question, my organic choices, what products I like to use.... I was thinking that perhaps there might be a question you'd like to ask and haven't wanted to or if not just say hi (if you want to of course) I always enjoy it when you visit. And thank you for everyone who has taken the time to say hello and visit me here it wouldn't be as fun if it weren't for you. Here is just a few trivial things about me.

* I have never travelled overseas when I do get the chance to I would love to visit the UK and Canada.
* I first learnt to swim in primary school and was a good freestyle swimmer.  I was invited to join the swim club and saw all of the work and decided it wasn't for me, I am not the most sporty of people you could say.
* When I finished high school I started my further education at Tafe doing business for a year, then onto Uni to study education (which I did not complete at the time), then back to Tafe to study a diploma of child care then back to uni to start and finish my education degree.
* My drink of choice would have to be tea.  I have a ritual each day with morning tea to sit and have a cup of white tea which is said to have more antioxidants than green tea and the flavour for me is much nicer:)
* My Mum is a hairdresser and so is her best friend, my adopted auntie, so when I grew up I enjoyed being able to get things done like getting my hair dyed red and yes I had a perm or two or three.... I loved the 80's.
* One of my most treasured possessions is an old embroidery basket given to me by my Grandmother.  Inside the basket are pieces of fabric with daisies and leaves drawn on them for me to practice on as well as a collection of embroidery thread she wound onto spools of cardboard.
* My favourite day of the week would have to be Friday.  The anticipation of the weekend always gets me through the last day of the working week.
* If I could live anywhere I think for me it would have to be somewhere quiet, close to the sea but with land around me, I think in my limited travels it would be Tasmania.
* I love wearing perfume. I once used to keep it just for special occasions but now I put a little on each day and my perfume of choice is Samsara. I first smelt it way back when and it's the only one I use and own, such a creature of habit I am.
* I like to check my star signs in the newspaper, always hoping there is some fabulous news there for me.
* If I could choose a book to read it would have to be a book about photography or a self help book, I'm always wanting to learn more and work on my self development. It's also much easier to read a book here and there then to go back to uni, not sure I'm up for more assignments and deadlines.

    1. No it has been some time since I have been in the classroom and I'm not sure when I will venture back to the classroom. I would ultimately love to work in a kindergarten with little ones which I adore and using my teaching degree too, when I will I'm not sure just yet....

  4. Tasmania sounds appealing (if you like the cold). I've never been to Tassie but hope to one day.

Not heard of white tea before. Where would I look to buy some?

    1. Ahh yes the cold that would take some getting used to since we live in Queensland and although it gets cold over night where I live during the day is really lovely during winter. You can buy white tea at the supermarket just with the other tea, or if you are interested in it being organic then a health food shop is a great place to find it. It isn't a strong tea but a much milder flavour and one I really like, I never quite got used to the flavour of green tea. :)

  5. Just lovely, I enjoyed to see that you are a woman of simple tastes and realistic ambitions, like I am. Maybe this is why I love to read your blog.

  9. Congrats! I always think the collection of posts over a period add and show so much. I'm all for documenting = )

I have been wanting to ask how (and what) your family ate when you were younger? I love your approach to food right now (for your family and your kids )and I'm wondering if that started young. I was talking to my SIL the other day and when she was little she wasn't allowed any junk foods and now she feels she eats them because back then she wasn't allowed them. From about age 10 we were allowed junk foods (my family had a milk bar and we had days of the week for different treats!). I find I still like to eat those things to bring back memories! I try to do right by my family and am pretty strict with the boys - wondering how they will be when they are older.

    1. Thank you:) My Mum has always cooked meals from scratch not everything like sauces and jams but when I grew up there wasn't anything that was prepackaged at all. She would cook for our lunches as my brother was a bit hyperactive and so she tried to limit additives and colours to help control his behaviour a bit..Saying that though they would let us spend our weekly pocket money at the corner shop buying ice cream and chips too so we had a good balance I think too. When I became an adult I didn't go crazy with junk food but did eat it more than I was allowed to when I was growing up. I still remember when I moved out and I told Mum we had Kan Tong for dinner she was not happy but we grew up, had Miss 13 and just evolved from there.

    1. Isn't that funny! You know I think it's interesting how we seem to enjoy blogs where we are similar to one another and it's interesting when we discover how much we all really have in common:) Gee that is a hard one I suppose I would love to be somewhere quiet, maybe by the beach with some time to walk along collecting shells, eating yummy organic food, doing a bit of crochet and taking lots of photos, followed by time sitting and looking out onto the rolling hills. Nothing really fancy I think I must be getting old. (lol)
