Mother's Day this year was just my hubby and the girls. I had told them I really wanted to go for a drive to Toowoomba with them and have a picnic lunch, nothing flash just something simple, all of us together. We took our time in the morning not rushing about and made the long drive and it was worth it. We found our own little picnic spot and took in the view while having lunch. There was a bit of exploring done, looking for some Autumn and we were not disappointed. I would have to say my day was just beautiful, being with my loving family and being loved by them, perfect.
How was your Sunday? I hope you had a beautiful one.
Looks like a lovely area and sounds like a wonderful day. Your youngest is so cute in that poncho and hat. Best wishes, Tammy
ReplyDeleteThe weather looks perfect for your simple Mothers Day...simple is better I think....I kept busy ..better that way!
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous week and enjoy the changing colours of our seasons...lots of photo opportunities. X
Sounds similar in some ways to mine. We decided to miss church for once and had a non-rushed start to the day. Just perfect. Then as drive for an outing to the beach for a couple of hours...
ReplyDeleteLooks like the perfect mothers day. Surrounded by loved ones, a lovely meal and beautiful pictures for long lasting memories. I'm sure you get this compliment all the time but you and your eldest look like sisters. Also I am coveting that beautiful poncho/shawl on your youngest. Just divine.
ReplyDeleteWe usually go up to Toowoomba for the flower show once a year...your photos look great (it goes without saying they are always great) but lovely, and the autumn colours and loving the poncho (I'm wearing my black one now) and pleased you got in some photos with the family as well. Regards Kathy A, Brisbane
ReplyDeleteps... what lens and settings did you use for the 1st pic and the one above the rose at the bottom? Kathy
ReplyDeleteHi Kathy. Thank you so much for your kind words:) Autumn in Toowoomba is so beautiful. We actually thought it would be a lot colder than it was so Miss 11 had to wear her poncho, any excuse. I would love to take the credit for the poncho but my mother in law made it, she is so clever. The first picture I used my 35mm 1.4 lens and my settings were ISO 100 and f2.8. For the picture above the rose, I used my 35mm 1.4 lens and my settings were ISO100 and f1.4. I hope that helps. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the details. Kathy
